I also really enjoyed Jacks and Tims storylines but I feel like recently the show is introducing too much new characters ,like in the last 4-5 seasons Georgia had like 4 love interests. I loved the storylines in the earlier seasons and i watched it for everyone Caleb ,Ashley ,Mallory & Soraya. I just don’t like Georgia after Season 10, idk what it is she just annoys me hahaha. Yeh i get ya I just think Ty was such a huge part and I think some people watch the show for everyone while others watch it for one main reason (e.g Ty &Amy or Amy working with horses) and other storylines are more like a bonus. Love, rage and frustration all the way from Brazil :) If you read till here, thanks! And I'll always be team Lou + Scott <3 These are my honest opinions, I would love to discuss them with other people. All the incredible characters having their potential wasted and great plots just forggoten. Ty had SEVERAL opportunities to die that would feel more logical and in sync with the storyline.Īnyway, I really love Heartland with all the land in my hart (lol), but i got really frustraded with the turns the series took in terms of script and writing. I'm really just furious with how it was done. Absolutly ZERO time to process all the bs that happend in season 13 and ALL OF A SUDDEN they killed a main character? It seamed almost like a joke when I was watching. Graham Wardle made the decision to leave Heartland. everything only seemed to fit until they OUT OF THE BLUE, KILLED TY BORDEN IN THE FIRST MINUTES OF SEASON 14? But, despite being a little odd, everything seemed to fit ok in the big picture. So, enough said, everything in season 13 felt rushed, forced and without good explanation whatsoever. The last moments of season 13 includes Luke going back to her biological mother, Lou becoming mayor and breaking up with Mitch again for no apparent reason, Ty and Amy getting shot and recovering super quickly and Amy finally bonding with her potential subistitute for Spartan. MAJOR SEASON 14 EP 1 SPOILER AHEAD ! ! ! ! ! With all of that said, heres what I think of season 14 episode 1: So, just to conclude what bugs me about this series: the writers created too many side stories and completly lost the focus on what makes Heartland a magical show: Amy's relationship with horses, her family and Ty Borden. The whole fostering of Luke seemed so repetitive, since Gergie already happend. For exemple: was it really necessary to create June Bartlett's, the long gone sister of Jack? That felt like more of a spinoff than a canon arch. I really think they lost track of all the thing they started on the series and a lot of them ended unfinished or poorly explained. I feel like the writers focused too much on creating drama and forgot about a lot of important characters (as the ones I've listed in the last paragraph). I kind of started to expect everithing to go wrong anytime. After a while, it all just seemed a little forced somehow. Too many tragedies? I mean, airplane crash, motorcycle crash, truck crash, brain tumor, mongolia sickness, mongolia kidnapping, almost blind, shot, quarantine, quarantine again, horses getting hurt, tornado, going broke, thing catching on fire. They created nonsense problems in Amy and Ty's relashionship, characters just vanished (Soraya, Ashley, Malory, Shane, Val, mrs Bell, Gerogie's brother, etc), and OMG. After that, i feel like the writing went a little downhill. I have close to zero complaints about it up until amy went on that europian tour with prince Ahmed. I pretty much binge watched it everyday ever since I started. Hey guys! So, I started watching heartland some months ago in 2020 and fell in live with it. BEFORE YOU START: this post contain mild and major spoilers up until season 13 (and 14, marked later on), so, if you haven't watched season 13 yet and DON'T LIKE SPOILERS, I advise you not to read it.
